2020 HR Year-End Reminders 

We want to make sure employees have ample time to review and make any updates or changes as we near the year end. This email contains the information, actions needed and any deadlines for payroll, benefits and/or retirement processes.

Review/Update your permanent mailing address

As HR and payroll prepare annual notices, mail benefit information, W2, and ACA information, updating your mailing address  will ensure that any employment-related information will be delivered to the correct address in a timely manner.  To review and/or make changes, go to BannerWeb, Employee Services Online.

Retirement Related Year-End Additions or Changes to Contributions

If you wish to make any changes to your 403(b) or Roth salary deductions in 2020, you must do so in the Retirement@Work portal by the deadlines listed below. 

Bi-weekly employees who want to start, stop,  or make a change to their 403(b)/Roth contribution in 2020, the deadline is December 11, 2020.

Monthly employees who want to start, stop, or make a change to their 403(b)/Roth contribution in 2020, the deadline is December 9, 2020.

Reasons you may want to make a change:

• Maximize your contributions up to the annual maximum for 2020 to your 403(b)/Roth through a “one-time” contribution
• Defer your terminal vacation/sick leave payout associated with a retirement or separation from Miami’s employment
• Any other 403(b) contribution change or ARP vendor elections or changes

Please note: if you elect to make a “one-time” deduction through Retirement@Work, you must return to Retirement@Work to reinstate your normal contribution amount.

The Employee Health Center Is Moving

The Employee Health Center is moving to Harris Hall in preparation for the construction of the new health sciences building. During the move (12/9 - 12/11), the clinic will operate for medical visits only at the Oxford Priority Care (5151 Morning Sun Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056) and then in Harris Hall (12/15 - 12/18).  Please contact the health center (513-529-3000) directly for more information.
