This toolkit is designed to provide managers the university guidelines, policies, processes, and development opportunities that will aid you in your everyday role, and in those times that are out-of-the-ordinary. If you need information that is not found here, please consult the staff directory to contact your division's HR Generalist.

 

MyMiami and Banner Web

MyMiami is your online portal to accessing university resources, news, library resources, and personal information including leave balances, bursar account, and pay stubs. 

BannerWeb is your online access to employee services such as updating your address, editing direct deposit and tax information, requesting a tuition fee waiver, unclassified leave reporting

Each of these portals requires login and MUNet password.

Setting Your Password

Miami's Change Password portal allows you to use your uniqueID and password to set up or change your Miami password. For first-time users, the default password is your birth month (mm), birth date (dd), last 4 digits of your social security number.

  1. To start a new form, click the New Case link from the toolbar on the left side of the screen.
  2. Once selected, a list of forms you can start will be listed in the center panel. Double click on the process you wish to begin.
    Note: Each instance of a form is referred to as a case. Each case is given a unique number for tracking purposes. For example, if you need to change titles for three employees, you would create three cases from the Recommend Change form.
  3. Complete the fields in the form and select Approve at the end of the form.
  4. You will be asked to assign the Next User. The next user should be the next required approver. If you have any questions about who to select, please contact Human Resources or Academic Personnel.
  5. If you are selected as an approver, your inbox will display tasks. Cases cannot go on to the next approver until you approve your task. To open a task, double click.
