General Function
Performs activities related to providing correct seating and first-line crowd control at university special events
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities—Essential Functions
- Inspects and sets up gates and turnstiles before event; breaks down and stores at the conclusion of event.
- Monitors flow of patrons; enforces rules and regulations before, during, and after event.
- Solves seating and other problems; ensures that persons are in proper seat.
- Seats handicapped persons; handles VIP seating.
- Takes attendance reading from turnstile at end of event; reports attendance to supervisor.
Reporting Relationships
Direction Received: Reports to Manager, Director, etc.
Direction Given: No responsibility for directing the work of others
Minimum Requirements
Requires a high school education or GED. No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics
- Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds
- Customer service skills
Working Conditions
Physical effort usually requires considerable walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
