Graduate Student Practicum

This practicum position (10 hrs/wk) will provide the opportunity for a graduate student to learn about the academic integrity area within higher education. Work within this area relates to several other areas within student affairs, including student conduct/judicial, student programming, peer education, and working with students one-on-one or in groups related to specific student success or learning needs. Additionally, the area provides the opportunity to interact with faculty and better understand academic affairs.

Specifically, the Practicum will provide experience with policy and adjudication, review of current literature about academic integrity research and practices, and the opportunity to engage in and plan student educational initiatives and presentations on the topic of academic integrity. 

The Practicum Student will:

  • Learn about the academic integrity area at Miami and in general
  • Plan, design, and deliver academic integrity student presentations and/or other student outreach initiatives
  • Create content for social media platforms
  • Recruit students and begin plans to form an academic integrity peer education group
  • Review current academic integrity literature
  • Observe the policy and adjudication process for academic integrity operations
