IT Services Staff Bowl Through Winter
As has been noted in the various IT Services staff profiles over the last few years, there are a lot of different ways we choose to let off some steam. During this past winter break and winter term, a number of us chose to spend our Thursday evenings together at the lanes.
To be more specific, the Oxford Lanes.
During the course of this seven-week session, 20 different bowlers have rolled at least one game, with a core group of about 15 making it a weekly occurrence.
Although this activity was completely for fun, sometimes the competition got a little heated with players battling it out for the high score of the game and series. The two highest three-game series scores were a 574 rolled by Alan Ferrenberg (Solution Delivery), and a 573 for Dean Harris (Enterprise Operations). To be fully transparent, the spouse of a staff member did wipe both Ferrenberg and Harris off the map, bowling a 612. Ferrenberg also accounted for the single game high of 226.
