Bill has been working in IT Services since the moment he graduated from Miami University. With his bachelor of science degree in applied science in one hand and a love for the University in the other, Bill has continued to build his career at Miami and currently holds the position of Director of Application Development.

“I have spent nearly 40 years in my career at Miami and enjoy the seemingly endless variety of challenges and opportunities that are available to us,” he said.

His primary duties as of now are to oversee the upgrade of the self-service portal, Banner, into its newest edition.

As he grew up in a farming family east of Eaton, Ohio, living by the land has always been a part of Bill’s life. In his free hours, he loves to spend time fishing with his three (soon to be four) grandkids.

“I much prefer actively participating in activities than being a spectator,” he said.

A normal weekend for Bill consists of  throwing get-togethers with his friends and family, playing cornhole in the backyard, and sharing home cooked meals. By the end of the weekend you can find Bill teaching Sunday school. He is very strong in his faith and continues to serve his community by volunteering as treasurer at his local church.
