BI Project Prioritization

The Business Intelligence team uses the Change and Continuous Improvement Committee (CCIC) for project prioritization. This group provides representation from across the university's divisions to ensure the right direction for BI.

Banner Data Team

For university offices that create or consume data in Banner, the Banner Data Team provides a forum for collaboration. It could include a discussion of whether to store data in Banner, where it may be appropriate to store it in Banner, and what values to use. The team is responsible for maintaining the Banner Data Entry Standards and promoting data integrity and security. The group meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month. Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness handles internal and external information requests for the university. More information about the office can be found at MiamiOH.edu/oir.

Data Summit

Starting in January 2020, the Data Summit has become a fixture to bring the Miami data community together. It typically includes a keynote address and subsequent sessions to talk about important topics around data in higher education and our local solutions.
