Kristina Fox

Kristina, a citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, has been actively involved in Myaamia revitalization projects and programs since 2009.

Originally from Fort Wayne, IN, Kristina attended Miami University as part of the Myaamia Heritage Program. She graduated in 2013 with a B.S. in Education. Afterward, she spent several years as a science teacher at East Allen University, an early college academy in Fort Wayne. Over breaks, she worked at the Tribe's Eewansaapita Summer Educational Experience.

In 2017, she and her family officially relocated to Oxford, OH where she became the Education Assistant at the Myaamia Center. Kristina's projects include creating and promoting Myaamia learning resources for her community, collaborating on Myaamia learning materials for K-12 educators, writing for and editing Aacimotaatiiyankwi, and continuing her work with the Eewansaapita programs.

Kristina is currently completing her M.A. in Instructional Design and Technology at Miami University. At the conclusion of her program, she will shift to developing distance learning materials and courses related to Myaamia revitalization.
