In our online MFA program, you'll learn to create human-centered product and service prototypes that get results. This master's program is well-suited for experienced designers and those looking to begin their careers as a designer. Students who graduate from this program are designers and researchers who lead solutions to complex and interconnected problems across diverse sectors and industries.
Coursework in this program applies design thinking for defining problems and developing innovative solutions with stakeholders. Learn and practice design research, consumer experience design, and omnichannel strategies that span digital and physical technologies. You have the opportunity to learn from an interdisciplinary cohort of peers and work closely with accomplished faculty. Hands-on exercises, projects, and learning experiences embedded throughout the MFA in Experience Design develop your ability to identify problems and create inclusive, accessible outcomes.

No matter where you are, Miami’s online MFA in Experience Design is within reach. Asynchronous online classes make learning flexible for anyone pursuing a future in human-centered design. Each semester, the xdMFA cohort visits a different location in North America to research and design in context for a Destination Weekend. Past cohorts have visited places like Zion National Park, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Montreal, and even our own hometown of Oxford, Ohio.
