Radiation Safety

The Radiation Safety Office provides the means necessary for personnel to protect themselves, their coworkers, the general public, and the environment from detrimental effects of radioactive materials and radiation generating equipment used within the university. If you are working with radioactive materials in any way, you should review all training and guides below.

Training

Faculty, staff, and students working with Radioactive Materials (RAM) must complete initial online radiation safety training. Once online training is complete you will be invited to an in-person training that must be completed as well. Those working with Radiation Generating Equipment (RGE) are only required to take the online training.
