Teaching and Interests

Deepak Dawar received his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kurukshetra University, India. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from North Dakota State University, USA in 2013, and 2016 respectively. He joined Miami in 2016, and has taught an ensemble of computer science & IT related courses including Java, Visual Basic, Operating Systems, Computer Networking to name a few.

His research interests include evolutionary computing, swarm intelligence, pattern recognition, and video based vehicle classification. His current scholarship focuses on innovation in teaching computer programming, and application of artificial intelligence (AI) to the delivery of IT courses.
