Dr. Cheng is currently an associate professor in the department of Computer and Information Technology. Before joining Miami University, she taught for one year as an assistant professor in department of mathematics and computer science at Bemidji State University Minnesota and eight years as assistant and associate professor at University of Hawaii Hilo. She obtained both of my B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science in 2003 and 2005 respectively, and my Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering in 2009 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
