Teaching and Interests

John has a B.S. degree from Bowling Green State University and a Masters in Education from Western Michigan. He later pursued graduate studies in Business Information Systems at Xavier University and Educational Technology from Ashland University. John is certified by the Ohio Department of Education in Computer Science and taught IT classes at both Princeton and Turpin high schools in Cincinnati. In addition, he served as Technology Coordinator in the Forest Hills School District. He is a NCNI/NANS Certified Network Instructor (National Association of Communications Systems Engineers).

Mr. Cook’s college teaching experience began at Miami Regionals in 1992 when he taught SAN as a Visiting Instructor. Following that appointment, he served many years as an Adjunct at Miami Regional Campuses and in the spring of 2013, he accepted a special assignment, serving as an Academic Advisor & Technical Support Specialist for the CIT Department. John also has over 25 years of experience as a computer analyst, consultant and programmer for Cincinnati area small businesses.
