Undergraduate Research Opportunity 2021

Learn new skills and work with other students on socially relevant issues. Multiple students are currently being sought to conduct small to medium scale research projects on mineralogy and chemistry of makeup. Areas include determining the nature and abundance of impurities, the detection of makeup in the context of both indoor and outdoor crime scenes, including human trafficking events, and acts of violence. Students will work together and present their respective projects at a scientific meeting in April 2021 in Cincinnati. Students at all levels are being sought and no experience is required. This project is great for students interested in chemistry, geology, criminal justice, pre-Med, pre-Law, women’s health, and other areas. Projects have flexible schedules and work will be done at the Hamilton campus, Oxford campus, and Middletown campus.
