Professional Experience
Leah has a diverse nursing background, with practice environments ranging from Med/Surg and Telemetry to Critical Care, Perioperative, Primary Care and Nursing Educator.
Teaching
- Didactic and Clinical teaching since 2017.
Service
Leah serves the community by participating in fundraising events to support Josephine’s Clinic, a non-profit coalition of healthcare professionals who serve victims of human trafficking and violence in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio.
She is also an advocate for distracted driving awareness and prevention, and supports the proposition of Ohio House Bill 283.
Research
Leah’s research interests focus on behavior change theory and health and safety promotion. Her Doctoral focus was Distracted Driving Prevention among young drivers, and she plans to continue her work on this topic. She has also been actively involved with the incorporation of virtual reality simulation within nursing curriculum.
