Graduate Program Admission

Admission Requirements

Minimum criteria to be considered for admission:

  • Resident of OH, IL, IN, KY
  • BSN from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing school by start of MSN program 
  • Minimum of a cumulative 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale from BSN institution
  • A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state you are practicing in before the start of the MSN program
  • Eligibility to obtain an active RN license in any other state required for clinical experiences 
  • Note: FNP track students must have completed 1,000 hours of RN clinical experience before they may start their first clinical/ practicum course, which is offered in the first summer session of the program for full-time students.

Students should apply through NursingCAS. Materials required for application submission:

  • Official transcripts from all US institutions
  • Current CV/ resume
  • Written response to 4 experiential questions
  • Two letters of reference

Professional References

Two letters of academic or professional references from faculty members, professional colleagues, or work supervisors who can evaluate your potential for success in a graduate program. At least one of your recommenders must hold a master's or higher degree.
