Why Psychological Sciences is the perfect major

PSS Student Learning Outcomes

The Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for the Psychological Science (PSS) major are aligned with the American Psychological Association’s (APA) 2013 Guidelines for the Undergraduate Major to include one content-based goal and four skill-based goals:

Minor in Psychological Science

Would you like a better understanding of human behavior and how this impacts your chosen career field? Psychological Science minors will gain an in-depth understanding of how to design, conduct, and interpret empirical research to discover how personality influences behavior.

  • Students can take courses online, in-person, or a mix of both
  • Beyond the classroom learning opportunities include independent or small group research and experiential and service-learning projects in our surrounding communities

Why Minor? 

The Psychological Science minor complements and enhances work done in other disciplines. It is open to all majors at Miami University except Psychological Science and Psychology.
