Enhanced for Temporary Online Delivery (ETOD) Courses: Fall 2020

Drawing on principles of online learning, courses normally taught on-campus that have been moved ‘online’ temporarily for Fall 2020 (called “Enhanced for Temporary Online Delivery”) will be designed to provide a completely virtual learning experience in which students will connect with faculty, and their course work, through Canvas and other campus systems.

Mimicking the same look and feel as MUR’s fully developed online courses, providing students consistency among all of their ‘online’ courses, Enhanced for Temporary Online Delivery (ETOD) courses will be designed using the E-Campus basic template framework (including Course Home Page and Modules feature for content organization). Providing further unity among all ‘online’ courses in Fall 2020, ETOD courses will also be designed specifically for a virtual learning experience; one in which students engage in the course asynchronously through the Canvas course site containing all course content, learning exercises, and assessments curated for the learning experience.

To make things easier for you to set up your course, we’ve created the Canvas course template that mirrors the Canvas template MUR online students are used to seeing but is also specifically designed for Fall 2020 course delivery. This template can be easily imported into your course(s), which we'll introduce to you in these guides. You’ll see that the template comes already set up with a course Home Page and Modules to take some of the work out of the process for you.

NOTE: To access the template, you will first need to log into Canvas. Then, in Canvas, click the "Commons" link in the left navigation. Finally, go to: https://lor.instructure.com/resources/64c4f5bac35e4dfd9fdaeb0805806918?shared
