I am passionate about the power of education, the value of the arts, and the transformative qualities of education. Creating opportunities for others is a driving force in my life. I am currently Director of the Honors Program at Miami University’s Regional Campuses and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Humanities and Creative Arts & the Department of Art at Miami University. I joined the faculty in January 2007. Previously I was Curator of Photography, Art, and Artifacts at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender & Reproduction at Indiana University and Executive Director of the Society for Photographic Education.

What I Do in Honors

I have been involved with the University Honors Program in multiple capacities since 2008 and became a Director in 2011. As Director, I uphold and contribute to the philosophical foundation of the program. I promote the program, cultivate curriculum, develop co-curricular opportunities, manage course scheduling, and ensure alignment with the main campus. I represent the program on the Hamilton and Middletown campuses, communicate across the university, and connect with communities beyond. I recruit, teach, assess, and advise all regional honors students.
