Little Receives Darbyshire Award

Miami Middletown Junior Molly Little with her 2012-2013 Darbyshire AwardMiami University Middletown Junior Molly Little has been awarded the W. Lynn Darbyshire Award for 2012-2013. A sociology major from Hamilton, Little is president of Miami Middletown Student Government, co-president of the Colors gay-straight alliance, a member of the Diversity Council and is a former Miami Middletown student representative for University Senate. She is also in the Honors Program.

"Molly is by far one of the hardest working, most articulate, most self-motivated and most passionate students that I have encountered at MUM," said one of her nominators. "She embodies all the values we have for hard work, commitment and campus and community service that we try to inspire in our students."

The Darbyshire award is given each year to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in a student organization, student advisory council, student employment, community service or campus committee assignment.
