Knowledge Cafe Series Focuses on Social Media Trends and Small Business Growth

Miami University Middletown (MUM) is excited to continue the Knowledge Café in 2016, a series of talks and discussions with about the latest trends in business innovation. The focus for the upcoming series is social media and competitive intelligence. All sessions are free with RSVP, will take place at MUM’s Verity Lodge and will include light refreshments.   

On Jan. 7, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the talk will be Facebook for Business. This interactive presentation, led by Business Technology Professor Dr. Luci Parmer, will discuss best practices and innovations of Facebook strategy for business looking to grow and those just starting.  

On Jan. 12, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the talk will be Make the Move to Live-Streaming. Research Chemist and self-described techno-nerd Dr. Mike Baim will lead this talk on adding value to your social media sites with live-streaming video. Take your audience with you wherever you go to build followers and your organization’s digital network. 

On Feb. 4, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., cooperate culture expert, Assistant Professor Mary Kovach will lead the highly successful Resume and Interview Workshop. She will provide a better understanding of the interview process including resume tips, interview preparation, body language, delivery and execution. 

On Feb. 18, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the talk will be Content Marketing Update. Business Technology Professor Dr. Susan Baim will lead the discussion on the latest content marketing trends to help your outreach plan stay on top. Get ahead of 2016 by learning from an expert in the field of digital marketing. Please note this event was previously published incorrectly as a 1 p.m.
