Miami University Regionals and Journal-News to host 8th Congressional District Special Election Forum

Miami University Regionals, in partnership with the Journal-News will host a Conversation with the Candidates on Monday, May 23, 2016 for the 8th Congressional District Special Election. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Miami University Hamilton Downtown Center.

All three candidates for Ohio’s 8th Congressional District Special Election have been invited. The event will provide an opportunity for voters to hear about issues facing the district and the country from candidates vying fill John Boehner’s vacated seat in the June 7th Special Election.

The conversation will be facilitated by Miami University Regionals’ assistant professor of political science, Dr. John Forren, and Journal-News politics reporter, Michael Pitman.

After the conclusion of the discussion, candidates will be available for questions and interaction with the media and guests. Light refreshments will be provided

The event is free and open to the public, no tickets required.

The Miami University Hamilton Downtown Center is located at 221 High Street, Hamilton, OH in the historic Robinson-Schwenn Building.
