Miami University Regionals launches Second Saturdays at Over-the-Rhine

Miami Regionals’ E-Campus and Office of Admission have partnered to offer family-friendly and goal-focused events on the second Saturday of the month from March-August at the Miami University Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine. 

At these free events, participants can expect to:

• Learn a new skill or enjoy a family-friendly activity.

• Enjoy a light breakfast catered by local OTR eateries.

• Learn information about Miami University Regionals.

• Have their $35 application fee waived when applying during the event.

Spring Storytime will be held on March 14 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Enjoy donuts and bagels while we entertain the family with a story and craft just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Wear your favorite green outfit and receive a special treat. 

Debt-Free Degree will be held on April 11 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Learn how to earn your degree with no debt! Is that even possible? Yes, it is! Representatives from Miami University will walk you through the various types of financial aid and higher education options. Get a coupon code for an application waiver to Miami University Regionals. Side Hustle Saturday will be held on May 9 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Have you ever thought about owning your own business? Not sure where to begin? Join us for a panel discussion led by experienced Miami faculty from the commerce department, local small business owners, and Etsy sellers. Learn about creating a small business that is built for profit so you can build the future you desire. Food and refreshments provided. 

Family Yoga will be held on June 13 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Relax and rejuvenate with family-style yoga. Lead by a local yoga specialist, you and your child can find inner peace in this 45-minute guided class. Healthy food and refreshments are provided.

Landing Your Dream Job will be held July 11 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Get noticed and land your dream job with our helpful resume and interviewing tips. Find out what can make your resume rise to the top. Learn the secrets to having a great interview. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a free professional headshot at the event. Food and refreshments provided.

Summer Story Time will be held on August 8 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Join us for a free fun-filled family event. Enjoy donuts and bagels while we entertain the family with a story and craft.
