Financial Aid and Scholarships

Offset your costs by submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This will open the door to all need-based scholarships, grants, work-study, and federal loans.

Reciprocity Agreements

Our reciprocity agreements provides eastern Indiana and northern Kentucky counties in-state tuition prices for certain programs.

Reduced tuition for out-of-state online majors

You will recieve a special reduced rate of $350 per credit hour (inclusive of the E-Learning fee) for online undergraduate programs.

Ohio Residents

Non-Ohio Residents

Non-Ohio residents enrolled as online program students receive a special reduced rate of $350 per credit hour (inclusive of the E-Learning fee) for online undergraduate programs. Students must remain enrolled in an online major to be eligible for the special tuition rate.

Online Microcredentials

Non-Ohio residents enrolled as online students receive a special reduced rate of $350 per credit hour (inclusive of the E-Learning fee) for online undergraduate programs and online Microcredentials. Students must remain enrolled in an online major to be eligible for the special tuition rate.

Online Fee

Online students are able to get the same quality experience at an affordable price. The Miami University Board of Trustees approved a fee of $35.00 per credit hour for all online (ONLA & ONLS) and hybrid (HYBA & HYBS) courses. The fee began with the Fall 2011 semester. Maintaining the currency and quality of our e-learning courses requires technical expertise and support beyond that typically needed in face-to-face courses. The money from the fee goes toward expanding and enhancing our e-learning offerings.

Lock Your Tuition In

Miami University's Tuition Promise guarantees tuition will be frozen for new undergraduate students for up to four years. That means the cost of your education will stay the same year to year. Providing the predictability and assurance your family needs to plan financially for a college education.

Deadlines to Know

Pay attention to dates and deadlines to ensure you stay on track.

  • December 1 - Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available for 2024-25 academic year
  • December 1 - Transfer Merit Scholarship Deadline for Spring 
  • February 1 - First-Time New Merit Scholarship Priority Deadline
  • February 1 - Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Priority Deadline 
  • May 1 - Transfer Merit Scholarship Deadline for Fall
