International Students and COVID-19

Traveling to campus, Spring 2021

If you are arriving in the United States after international travel, the Centers for Disease Control guidance requires you to self-quarantine for 7 days upon arrival in the U.S. Please visit the CDC website for specific expectations.

If you live off-campus you are expected to quarantine in your residence. If you live on-campus and need to quarantine, email the Office of the Dean of Students and they will coordinate an on-campus quarantine room assignment. In your email, please include your cell phone number, date of arrival in the U.S., and, if you have been tested for COVID since you have arrived in the U.S., provide your test result.

Be sure to email your instructors for any in-person or hybrid courses to inform them that you are quarantining due to international travel and will not be able to come to class during this time. Keep in mind that you are still expected to engage in your coursework remotely while you are in quarantine.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is your primary point of contact for updated information. Please continue to check your email and you may also wish to review the Healthy Together website for information related to quarantine procedures and support for on-campus students.
