Jens has more than 20 years of experience working with scientific software on high performance computing platforms. His expertise includes developing and supporting computational tools in several programming languages and the simulation of physical systems, in the context of HPC clusters. He joined Miami in 2008 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

Jens received his Ph.D. in Computational Engineering from the University of Freiburg in Germany.
