More than 20 Miami professors among top 2% of researchers based on analysis of citations
More than 20 Miami University faculty members are among the top 2 percent of the world's researchers, according to a recent Stanford University study. Based on an analysis of citations, the study identified the top scholars among nearly eight million authors in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields.

Hardship or Hope? Miami students study the American Dream in small-town Iowa
As a Hispanic kid growing up in Storm Lake, Iowa, Matthew Marroquín had no concept of race. “I just knew that if I go over to this friend’s house, I say ‘hello’ to their mother in this way, and if I go to a different friend’s house, I had to learn ‘sabaideebor’ for Laos, or ‘xin chào’ for Vietnamese.”

Global Faculty Research Profile: Jordan Fenton
Dr. Jordan A. Fenton, Assistant Professor of Art History (recently promoted to Associate Professor), is a specialist of African Art History, with an emphasis on the visual and performed expression of Nigerian masquerade arts. At Miami, Fenton teaches introductions on non-Western art and courses and seminars exploring Africa and its Diaspora.
