Miami University’s inaugural Global Friendship Day is Wednesday, August 21, sponsored by Orientation and Transition Programs and International Student and Scholar Services. Global Friendship Day is part of the Miami Bound pre-semester program series. Through Miami Bound programs, new students can build community and learn about campus in the days just before move-in day.

Global Friendship Day is focused on building intercultural relationships and will bring about 40 domestic students and 80 international students together just before Welcome Weekend begins. Participants will take and debrief the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), participate in a campus exploration photo hunt challenge, and participate in their choice of afternoon activity, including yoga, pottery painting, and a hike in the Miami Natural Areas.
