Wednesday, August 12, 2020 - 9am-5pm 

Program Update: Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts will be a virtual experience since we will begin our semester online. The program will take place Wednesday, August 12 at 9:00 am and will end at 5:00 pm.  

The program coordinator for Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts has reached out with program updates and details; students who have registered for the program will receive a final schedule and instructions by Tuesday, August 11. 

Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts is an amazing program for any student interested in the Arts at Miami - especially students planning to have a major in the College of Creative Arts. 

The Arts: What does this term mean?  

The Arts is the application and expression of creativity, skills, and imagination. 

About Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts

Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts is an experience designed to cultivate and inspire your Arts journey at Miami University. This program will allow participants to:

• Embrace creativity 
• Create a personal Arts journey plan
• Connect with new students who have similar interests in the Arts
• Explore your curiosity about all the opportunities available to you through the ​Arts at Miami 

Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts Schedule Overview 

Here’s a list of activities participants can look forward to during the program: 

• Virtual networking 
• Virtual tour of Miami University art facilities such as:  art studios, galleries, performing spaces, and the Miami Arts Museum.
• Creativity exercises including but not limited to:
  • Creating your Arts journey plan 
  • From Artists to Arts Leaders exercise 
• Virtual round table discussion about opportunities in the Arts with Miami University faculty, staff, and students. 
• Opportunity to meet Miami University faculty, staff, and students who are engaged in the Arts at Miami
• Virtual reflection and discussion of the program experience

Closer to start date of the program you will receive information to your Miami email including a full-day itinerary.  

 

Program Cost:

There is no program registration fee for Miami Bound: Discovering the Arts. 

 

Cancellation Policy 

Students have until August 1, 2020, to cancel via email (sent to Todd Stuart at stuartt@miamioh.edu) at no penalty.
