Miller Center for Student Disability Services

Connecting with the Miller Center

The Miller Center for Student Disability Services coordinates accommodations and services to ensure access and inclusion for students with disabilities. Students with a wide range of disabilities such as AD/HD, Autism Spectrum, Blind, Color Blind, Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Physical Disabilities, Psychological Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Low Vision and Medical Disabilities engage with the center each academic year. Connecting with the office involves three steps:

Disability Documentation

Verification documentation should meet current guidelines. Examples of documentation include past special education records (e.g. 504 Plan, Evaluation Team Report), Student Disability Services Disability Verification Form (for all disabilities except learning disabilities) or a recent psychoeducational evaluation report for students with learning disabilities.

SDAC aims to raise awareness about disability-related issues among students and faculty, and to provide support systems for Miami’s disability community.
