Nearly 100 Years of Quality Research
Our mission is to do work that makes a positive difference in the lives of aging individuals, their families and communities. The primary way we accomplish our mission is by continuing what we have done for almost a century: conducting quality research with the highest commitment to excellence and impact.
Our Core Work
The core of our work includes research in the areas of demography, long-term care, program evaluation, the aging workforce, and arts and dementia programming. Visit our current projects page to learn more about our current research projects.
Experts in Aging
We are a leading source for informed answers on aging and we perform a range of research related work on the local, state, and national level. We regularly work with national organizations like the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. We also meet with state and national lawmakers to present our findings and provide information to help them make important policy and budget decisions. And we regularly contribute to the scholarly community through journal publications and presentations to the research community at national conferences. In addition to this national level work, we work closely with state officials in Ohio to help the state prepare for the rapidly aging population. Through projects like the Ohio Long-Term Care Research Project and others, we conduct statewide research that has earned us the honor of being named an Ohio Center of Excellence. This honor exemplifies our goal to produce relevant information that will have a positive impact on our society and the lives of aging individuals.
