The Department of Statistics offers a B.S. in Data Science and Statistics and, jointly with the Department of Mathematics, a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics, and a co-major in Analytics. The links to the left will provide more information on these degrees.

The three learning outcomes undergraduate degrees in Statistics are:

1) Students shall be able to analyze and interpret data critically using statistical models and programming skills.  Assessed in STA 402 (programming skills) and STA 466 (modeling skills).

2) Students shall demonstrate understanding of the mathematical basis and theoretical foundations of statistics.  Assessed in STA 462.

3) Students shall be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in written form, results of statistical analyses to both the expert and layperson. Assessed in STA 475.
