Miami University Visitors Parking Information
On weekdays, a visitor's parking permit is required for all university parking lots and campus streets. On Saturdays, a permit is not required to park on Spring, Oak, and Maple Streets.
- The closest street parking to McGuffey House and Museum is available along Oak Street and Spring Street.
- Some parking spaces have parking meters; meters are enforced 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. The cost is $1.00 per hour. All of Miami University's parking meters are "smart" meters which are solar-powered and cellular-enabled, allowing motorists to use credit and debit cards to pay for parking time as well as coins.
- Visitors to campus are also encouraged to park in the Campus Avenue Garage or the North Campus Garage. No permit is needed, but hourly rates and event parking rates apply.
For large groups, please make arrangements in advance with the museum staff.
