ADVW Course Policies Update

An update to PA1C/ADVW course policies:  All PA1C/ADVW courses may now carry one additional Perspectives Area designation, and students are now allowed to overlap/"double dip" PA1C/ADVW hours with another PA/FND course designation.  So, for example, a student could receive hours for both PA1C and PA2B in one three-credit course.

This will be built into the Degree Audit for students in BY25 and on.  Prior Bulletin Years will require a degree audit exception to be made by the Office of Liberal Education.  Note that this overlap cannot be petitioned and will only be applied to LEC-approved courses.  Faculty wishing to develop this type of course should consult directly with Elizabeth Wardle, Director of the Howe Center for Writing Excellence, and the Office of Liberal Education.
