Presidential Fellows Program

Earn Miami’s top scholarship and participate in exclusive programming designed for our brightest minds. Top faculty will be your mentors and help you compete for prestigious national and international fellowships. Benefits include:

  • Four-year scholarship covering tuition, fees, housing, and meals.
  • $5,000 academic enrichment stipend.
  • Exclusive programming and activities.
  • Guaranteed admission to both the Honors College and Prodesse Scholars Program.

Prodesse Scholars Program*

Work with an outstanding faculty member and a team of fellow scholars in this one-semester program that includes out-of-the-classroom experiences. Engage in interdisciplinary study prioritizing creativity and innovation, such as social justice or the environment and sustainability. Benefits include:

  • Annual scholarship of $1,000 to $2,000 (renewable up to four years).
  • Faculty mentoring.
  • Collaborate with peers in and out of the classroom.

Deadlines and Applying

To apply for any of Miami’s honors programs, indicate your interest in honors when applying for admission. No additional application is required. 

First-Year Students

Dec. 1 is the firm deadline to apply for the Presidential Fellows Program and the priority deadline for the Honors College

Students selected for the Honors College and/or the Prodesse Scholars Program will be notified on a rolling basis, February through April. For the Presidential Fellows Program, finalists will be invited to participate in a selective process, including an interview with a scholarship committee.

Transfer Students

June 1 is the deadline to apply for Miami's Honors College.
