If you submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for this academic year at your current college, you should add Miami's federal school code (003077) to the School Selection section of your FAFSA at If you have not submitted a FAFSA, complete one online at using Miami's federal school code (003077)

September 2019 - January 2020

All Miami students must submit evidence of the required vaccinations before beginning classes. In addition to the required vaccines, Miami recommends vaccinations for Meningococcal B, Hepatitis A, and Influenza (annual). You will receive detailed instructions for submitting this information on your myMiami admission checklist. To review the required vaccinations refer to the Student Health Service website at or contact the Student Health Service at or 513-529-3000.

September 2019 - January 2020

Miami University requires health care insurance for all full-time Oxford students. To that end, Miami University bills all full-time students for Miami-sponsored Aetna Student Health Insurance. If you do not need this coverage, you must waive this insurance via the student health website. For questions, call the Student Health Service at 513-529-3000.

September 2019 - January 2020

Once we receive your confirmation deposit, you will receive information on how to schedule an orientation session where you will register for classes. You will also receive information about Transfer Student Orientation options.

Transfer students who have been out of high school for more than five years or have already completed 20 graded semester hours after graduating high school may be admitted without test scores and should connect with an academic advisor in their division for more information regarding math placement. Please complete the foreign language placement tests which can be found online on the Placement Test page on the Orientation website as soon as possible after your enrollment.

October 2019 - January 2020

Financial aid awards are mailed on a rolling basis after you are admitted.

November 2019 - January 2020

Register for a Transfer One-Day Orientation or January Orientation.

Early January 2020 Residential students receive their housing assignment, which includes their university housing information, arrival information, roommate information, and confirmation of their meal plan selection.
January 2020 Attend a Transfer One-Day Orientation.
Monday, January 6 Submit your confirmation deposit by January 6, 2020.
Monday, January 13

Final college transcripts must be received by the Office of International and Transfer Admission.

Wednesday, January 22 or Thursday, January 23 Move-in day for transfer students who attend January Student Orientation.

Thursday, January 23 - Friday, January 24

January Orientation for students who have not already attended a Transfer One-Day Orientation.
Sunday, January 26 Move-in day for transfer students who do not attend January Orientation.
Sunday, January 26 Attend the Transfer Student Social.
Monday, January 27
First day of classes. Spring semester ends Saturday, May 9, 2020.
