Miami Pathways Program

Miami students enjoy life on campus

Through Pathways, students begin their Miami education by taking most fall semester classes at the university's regional campus in nearby Hamilton, Ohio, while living on the main campus in Oxford in a Living-Learning Community. Students transition to taking all classes in Oxford beginning in the spring semester after successfully completing program requirements. Pathways students enjoy full access to student resources and activities on the Oxford campus from their very first day in the program.

What is the Pathways program?

Pathways is for students who have a solid academic record but who are not initially admitted to selective majors on Miami's main campus in Oxford. Through Oxford-based academic advising and mentoring as well as a Pathways Living-Learning Community, students prepare for their successful transition to becoming full-time Oxford students beginning in the spring semester of their first year.
