Plan Your Next Visit

Bring your class or group to the Hefner Museum of Natural History! Our programs are FREE, and we welcome both formal and informal learning groups . Our knowledgeable staff will guide your students as they explore our galleries and exhibits, participate in hands-on, inquiry-based activities, and experience the thrill of discovery as they take part in age-appropriate scavenger hunts. We have established programs for preK-12 students, or we can tailor a program to match your specific curriculum requirements. All programs and activities align to Ohio educational standards.

Cecilia Berg Center for Environmental Education

The Cecilia Berg Center for Environmental Education is a comprehensive natural science education resource that enables learners of all disciplines—from pre-schoolers to university students to retirees—to understand their connections to the natural world in age-appropriate ways.  We train and certify undergraduates in the most current and innovative, inquiry-based educational methods and develop and host standards-based, turn-key curricula.  In partnership with Hefner Museum of Natural History, we supply educational kits including authentic and replica specimens accompanied by teacher guides, host tours, and lead experiential learning opportunities.
