The Process

  1. Find an Internship
    Internship must be related to Psychology. To find an internship, contact the Center for Career Exploration and Success, search online: CareersInPsychology, or call businesses and organizations directly.
  2. Secure Internship
    The internship must be set up before you seek out course credit.
  3. Earn Credit for PSY 340
    Complete a Learning Agreement and 2-page paper outlining how your experience relates to your PSY classes.
  4. Obtain the Templates and Start the Process
    Contact Dr. Spangler or Dr. Green
  5. Complete the Internship
    Complete the project you have set up through your agreement
  6. Earn Course Credit
    One or zero credit options.

These sites do not need an application. If you choose a different site, just complete the site approval application.

How many hours is an internship?

An internship is generally between 4 and 10 hours per week, depending on the site and their needs. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and course credit (for a qualified site).
