This workshop will explore how to build creatures living only in your imagination using wool and the technique of needle felting. Bring to life a three dimensional sculpted, never before seen, creature. Participants will construct their own unique being using a simple armature we will make during the workshop. The workshop will introduce many needle felting techniques to aid in choosing the best options for building your mythological critter. We will work with several types of wools and discuss the different purposes for each type of wool. This is a fun workshop, lots of laughing. Come join the fun. Your creature will thank you!

About the Instructor

Judy Rush is a fiber artist working and living in Columbus Ohio. Her work has been shown extensively in the united States and abroad. A former art college instructor, she is an award winning artist whose work is featured in many books and publications. Felting became her focus after an artist residency in the Netherlands. Understanding how wool actually connects together is her current fascination. She enjoys making magical critters, large vessels and teaching the joys of making.
