CSOBI Orchestral Fellows Program

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Brass Institute, Orchestral Fellows Program, is a week-long intensive educational and performance opportunity for professional brass players from across the country and the world.

2024 Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Brass Institute Orchestral Fellows Program

June 3 - June 10, 2024

Held on the beautiful Oxford, Ohio campus of Miami University, June 3 through June 10, 2024, the participants will work closely with members of the Cincinnati Symphony Brass section and Miami University Faculty.

This Program is offered without cost to the participant. With the support of the Miami University College of Creative Arts and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the chosen participants will receive a fellowship for the full cost of the program including accommodation and meals.

The Orchestral Fellows program provides incredible access to professional musicians and daily excerpt coaching, mock auditions, master classes on a variety of audition and job retention topics, section playing, and a large brass ensemble for public performances.

Through an audition process, the institute will select 4 Trumpets, 4 Horns, 3 Trombones, and 2 Tubas for participation.

Your Time as a Fellow

Accommodations

Accommodations in a double occupancy room are provided at no cost with check-in date of Monday June 3, 2024 and a check-out date of Monday, June 10, 2024.

Meals

Fellows will be provided with a meal card to subsidize the cost of daily meals. This card can be used in several on-campus dining facilities for a variety of cuisines. Locations like Armstrong Student Center house several dining options.
