The Engineering Instructional Lab is on the ground floor of the Engineering Building.

Students conduct labs each semester in the Engineering Instructional Lab, whereby they are asked to acquire experimental data with lab-scale unit operations and subsequently analyze the data using engineering theory.  Labs focus in any and all of the following engineering areas:  material and energy balances, transport phenomena, process control, and unit operations. In addition, concentration-specific labs are conducted in the Engineering Instructional Lab, including paper making, biomaterials, biomechanics, and environmental engineering.

The Engineering Instructional Lab is also available for students to conduct class projects, senior design projects, and independent research. Its spacious, clean bench tops and storage cupboards around the lab provide plenty of room for several projects to be conducted simultaneously.
