Since 2013, the Department of Art and the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering have collaborated in the CSE Art Purchase Award Program. The vision for this program is to fill the hallways of the CSE department with the artwork of Miami students. This has become a wonderful way to unite departments and showcase artists' works. It has created a culture of collaboration and appreciation in which the creativity both of artists and of computer scientists and engineers is honored.

Selected artists benefit from the process of a juried show, having their art displayed, and the possibility of selling their artwork. All of this is prior to graduation, adding to their resume for graduate school or future artistic opportunities. The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is acquiring a vibrant collection of art from within the student body. We would like to thank the Art department and CSE department faculty for helping to promote and support the award program each year. We would also like to thank all of our students for their artwork submissions from previous and future years!
