The Department of Family Science and Social Work offers two degree programs- a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Masters of Arts in Social Work. The Bachelors of Science also includes all required courses work for national certification as a family life educator. Students would complete these degrees go on to careers in social work and human services. In addition, the Department of Family Science and Social Work offers Child Life Specialist undergraduate and graduate certificate programs. Working with diverse populations is stressed in both programs as are opportunities for fieldwork and community service.
