Family Relationships Minor (18 credit hours)

This minor examines the diversity and complexity of family relationships across the life course. Courses focus on family diversity, couple relationships, sexuality, parenting, and human development. Students desiring to increase their knowledge about families in order to enhance their career opportunities will find this minor of interest.

Course Requirements

Child Studies and Youth Development Minor (18 credit hours)

This minor prepares students to work with children from birth to age 25. Courses focus on growth and development, parent-child relationships, and techniques for working with young children. This program is of special interest to those majoring in education, social sciences, speech pathology, or family studies and social work. It includes the Children and Families thematic sequence (FSW 4).
