Undergraduate Public Health

The Public Health major at Miami University leads to the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health degree. It examines social and behavioral principles and practices of promoting health to address current and emerging public health issues. The focus is on the development of health promotion and education prevention strategies and interventions across the lifespan.

Miami’s Public Health major prepares students for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC).  If you are interested in sitting for the CHES exam meet with your Public Health academic advisor.
