This expo brings together values-driven organizations (ranging in scope from public service, nonprofits, benefit-corporations, and social services) with our Miami RedHawks who are eager to land internships, volunteer roles and jobs to launch their lives with purpose!
Student Participation Steps
Complete/Update your Handshake Profile and adjust Privacy Settings

- Check your Privacy Settings
- To participate in group sessions, you will need to apply the “Community” privacy option
- Your profile will be visible to employers, students, and alumni across all Handshake colleges and universities
- You can message students, alumni and employers
- To participate in one one one sessions with Employers, you will need to apply the "Employers" privacy option
- Only visible to employers.
- You may receive information about potential job opportunities
- To participate in group sessions, you will need to apply the “Community” privacy option
- Upload a current resume
- Complete your profile
- Add a great photo of yourself
- Write your introduction
- Add your Work & Volunteer Experience
- Add the Organizations & Extracurriculars you are involved with
- Add Courses and Projects
Register for Employer Sessions
- In order to sign up for sessions with employers, you must be registered for the fair.
- To sign up for Group or 1:1 sessions, your profile privacy will need to be set to Community or Employers.
- Review which employers are attending the fair (follow employers you want to check back in with)!
- You'll be able to sign up for sessions up to one(1) minute before the start time; once the session has started, you'll be unable to sign up for the session.
Day of the Fair
- Dress professionally
- Find a quiet spot and a neutral background
- Arrive on time to your virtual sessions
