Career Fairs

Join us for the 2024 Spring Career and Internship Fairs

Why Attend a Career Fair?

  1. Networking Opportunities: Career fairs provide a platform for students to connect with potential employers, industry professionals, and alumni. Building a professional network can open doors to internships, job opportunities, and valuable insights into specific career paths.

  2. Explore Career Options: Students can explore a wide range of career options by interacting with representatives from different companies and industries. This exposure can help them gain a better understanding of various professions and identify potential career paths that align with their interests and skills.

  3. Learn about Companies: Career fairs allow students to gather information about different companies, their cultures, and job opportunities. This firsthand knowledge can be crucial when making decisions about future employment and finding organizations that align with their values and career goals.

  4. Resume Building and Feedback: Students can bring their resumes to career fairs and receive feedback from recruiters. This can be valuable in refining their resumes and understanding what employers are looking for in potential candidates.

  5. Interview Practice: Some career fairs offer on-the-spot interviews or the opportunity to schedule interviews with employers. This provides students with valuable interview practice and a chance to make a positive impression on recruiters.

  6. Access to Internship Opportunities: Many companies use career fairs to recruit interns. Attending these events increases the likelihood of discovering internship opportunities, which can be instrumental in gaining hands-on experience in a specific field.

  7. Professional Development Workshops: Career fairs often include workshops or presentations on topics such as resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies. These sessions can enhance students' professional development and equip them with the tools needed for a successful job search.

  8. Visibility for Graduate Programs: For students considering further education, career fairs may also feature representatives from graduate schools. This provides an opportunity to explore different graduate programs and ask questions about admissions criteria.
