Spring Career Fair

Spring Career & Internship Fair on February 25, 2021 from 1-5pm hosted virtually on Handshake

Get your job search underway at Spring Career Fair 2021 on Thursday, February 25 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. EST. This ALL majors event is a great way to land the perfect job or internship as well as network with employers and alumni eager to connect with you.

Be sure to sign up early to secure group sessions and 1:1 time slots with your preferred employers. If the employer you desire to meet with hasn't set up a schedule yet, you can favorite/follow that employer and will be alerted when they set up their schedule.

Prep Events

Join us for a backstage look at our virtual career fairs for first year students and first time attendees. Students will learn how to prepare and navigate the career cluster career fairs. Students can also register for the fair and attend an orientation to the virtual fair platform and meet with an employer to hear what they look for in candidates.

Curious to experience a virtual career fair? Interested in hearing from an employer as to what they are looking for? Register for the Spring Career and Internship fair and sign up to attend the First Year & First Time Attendee virtual booth. This booth will be open at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 pm during the fair just for First Year & First Time Attendees. During a 30-minute discussion you will be oriented to the virtual fair platform and hear suggestions from a career fair employer. For those students ready to meet one on one with an employer, you can also sign up for a 10-minute chat with an employer that is interested in talking with First Year & First Time Attendees. Business professional attire is required for this part.

  • Check your Privacy Settings
    • To participate in group sessions, you will need to apply the “Community” privacy option
      • Your profile will be visible to employers, students, and alumni across all Handshake colleges and universities
      • You can message students, alumni and employers 
    • To participate in one one one sessions with Employers, you will need to apply the "Employers" privacy option
      • Only visible to employers.  
      • You may receive information about potential job opportunities
  • Upload a current resume
  • Complete your profile
    • Add a great photo of yourself
    • Write your introduction
    • Add your Work & Volunteer Experience
    • Add the Organizations & Extracurriculars you are involved with
    • Add Courses and Projects

Register for Employer Sessions

  • In order to sign up for sessions with employers, you must be registered for the fair.
  • To sign up for Group or 1:1 sessions, your profile privacy will need to be set to Community or Employers.
  • Review which employers are attending the fair (follow employers you want to check back in with)!
  • You'll be able to sign up for sessions up to one(1) minute before the start time; once the session has started, you'll be unable to sign up for the session.

Day of the Fair

  • Dress professionally
  • Find a quiet spot and a neutral background
  • Arrive on time to your virtual sessions
