Departmental Notes:

  • Students must select a major by the 5th semester. Undeclared Business is not a degree program; students must declare/complete a major to graduate with the Bachelor of Science in Business. 
  • Most majors in the Farmer School of Business are 8 courses. Some majors require a 2.0 in all major courses to graduate.

General Requirements:

  • Must earn 124 hours to graduate; minimum of 52 hours of non-business coursework required.
  • 2.0 GPA overall and 2.0 GPA in business required to graduate.
  • FSB students must select a non-business thematic sequence (some exceptions - consult your advisor).
  • Pre-requisite information available in the Miami Bulletin.
  • Diversity courses may meet GMP Intercultural Perspectives.
  • FYIC (BUS 101, BUS 102, ESP 103, BUS 104) satisfies GMP Experiential Learning requirement.
  • BUS 284 fulfills Advanced Writing.
